Shri Maha Muniraji is a longtime devotee of Haidakhan Babaji. He was chosen by Shri Babaji to be the leader of the world-wide Haidakhandi community
. In addition, he is the founder and sponsor of the Shri Babaji Charitable & Research Hospital in Chilianaula, India. Muniraji's family has owned the
land at Chilianaula for many years, where the Anand Puri Ashram has been built. This is the same location mentioned in "Autobiography of a Yogi," where
a crystal palace was materialized by Babaji for one of his devotees.

Shri Muniraji has been described by Babaji as the most peaceful being on the planet, and his presence promotes enlightenment, harmony, and well-being.
Babaji also described him as the embodiment of Dattatreya (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva in one body).

Babaji stated that Shri Muniraji is no longer bound by the laws of birth and rebirth. By his own will, Shri Guru Muniraji came to earth to in order to help humanity.

"Shri Muniraji's name: Muni (one who is filled with the Name of God); Raj (king). Shri Muniraji is known as a man of few words, a householder and
businessman who has integrated all aspects of family and business life into a very rich and full spiritual life. Babaji gives us this example to follow in our
lives: a person who is practical, quiet, intensely immersed in the spiritual, and is serving humanity in countless down-to-earth ways."

On July 19th l983, during evening darshan, Shri Babaji commented about the fact that Muniraji has been invited to take part in a spiritual conference
in September at which the Dalai Lama will be present. Shri Babaji said: "Muniraji may attend. The Dalai Lama is not greater than Muniraji, Muniraji is
the incarnation of Guru Dattatreya. Muniraji is a Yogi and spiritually very high. Spread this news everywhere among the people. Soon a world meeting is going to
take place here. The date has not been fixed yet, but it will come soon."
